Document Vault

Every important paper, one private place

Passports, policies, warranties, school papers and receipts, filed once, reminded before they expire, and found by asking Opti.

From a shoebox of paperwork to one vault

Important papers end up in drawers, inboxes and camera rolls. The Document Vault gives your household one place for them, with a door in each part of OptiAI where you would look: the car papers with vehicles, the vet papers with pets, a child's school reports with that child.

A door in every hub

Home

Deeds, leases, mortgage and insurance papers, warranties, manuals and purchase receipts.

Wealth and protection

Wills, powers of attorney, cover documents, tax papers and statements. Filing a will can tick it off your protection checklist.

Vehicles

Registration, insurance, inspection and service records, kept with the car.

IDs and travel

Passports, national IDs, licences, certificates, visas and trip documents, with passport expiry reminders.

Kids

School reports, consent forms and certificates for each child. Children do not see them unless an adult chooses.

Pets

Adoption and pedigree papers, microchip registration, insurance and vaccination certificates.

Community and hobbies

Donation receipts, volunteer letters, certificates of authenticity, licences and memberships.

Contracts and bookings

Service contracts and booking confirmations, next to the provider or plan they belong to.

How it works

Add a document from the app, choose its category and who it belongs to, and set an expiry date if it has one. OptiAI reminds you in good time. Later, ask Opti "where is Maya's passport?" and you get the title, expiry and a link that opens it after you unlock the vault.

Built to be private

Private by default

Only the person who uploads a document can see it until they share it.

Unlock to view

Face ID, a passcode, or your authenticator code if you use one. The vault re-locks after a few minutes idle.

Short-lived links

Files open through links that expire within a minute. Nothing is left in a public location.

Named adults only

Share a single document with a specific adult in your household, read-only. You can stop at any time.

Children never by default

A child is never a share target. A teenager can see a document about themselves only if a parent turns it on.

An access log

Every view, share and delete is recorded, and you can see who opened what and when.

Opti helps, only when you ask

Opti can find documents, list what is expiring and set reminders. It reads a document only on your explicit request, never a health document, and chat apps such as WhatsApp or Telegram only ever receive a link, never the file.

Included with Full Access

The vault is part of OptiAI, alongside your other modules, and follows your household's sharing choices.

Frequently asked questions

What can I store?

PDFs and images (JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP) up to 25 MB each: IDs, policies, warranties, receipts, school papers, contracts and similar. Each document gets a category, an optional person it belongs to, and optional dates.

Will OptiAI remind me when something expires?

Yes. Passports, licences, registrations, insurance and warranties have sensible reminder defaults, sent once per date to the adults with access. Reminders name the type of document, never a document number.

Who can see my documents?

Only you, until you share a document with a named adult in your household. Children do not see documents by default. Shared adults see the file read-only.

Can Opti read my documents?

Only when you ask it to, one document at a time, and never medical or health documents. Opti can find a document and give you a link to open it in the app. It never sends the file or its number to a chat app, and nothing is used to train AI.

What about medical records?

Medical records stay in Health and ChildCare health records with their own privacy rules. The vault links to them rather than storing a second copy.

What happens when I delete a document or my account?

Deleting a document removes the file and its record. Deleting your account removes your vault files and records.

Is the Document Vault legal or medical advice, or an official record?

No. It is a place to keep copies. OptiAI does not verify documents, give legal, medical or financial advice, or guarantee a stored copy counts as an official record. Keep originals where the law requires them.
