How to connect
1. Connect from Settings
In OptiAI open Settings, then Chat apps, and tap Connect next to Telegram. Only adults can connect.
2. Press Start in Telegram
The link opens Telegram. Press Start. The link works once and expires after a few minutes, so a stranger cannot reuse it.
3. Send or forward anything
Forward a coach's message, send a photo of a school notice, or type a note. Opti works out the dates and adds them.
4. Check, edit or undo
Opti replies with what it added, warns you if it clashes with something on the calendar, and gives you Edit and Undo.
Your privacy
We keep the items, not the message
Opti keeps the event or task it creates. The message, photo or voice note itself is not stored.
Connected from the app only
A chat account is linked only from inside the signed-in app. It can never be linked by sending a message.
Stop any time
Send STOP in the chat or press Disconnect in Settings. Items already added are kept.
A note on Telegram
Telegram bot chats are not end-to-end encrypted, so avoid sending anything you would not want Telegram to process.
Family group chats
Where switched on, a connected adult can add Opti to a family Telegram group. Mention Opti in the group to add to shared lists, the calendar and chores. Only connected adult members of your household can use it there, buttons work only for the person who asked, and anything private is answered in a private chat. Send /unlink in the group to stop Opti answering there.
Availability
Telegram support is rolling out gradually, so you may not see Chat apps in Settings yet. More chat apps may follow.
