A retirement plan built from the accounts you actually have
Most retirement tools ask for three numbers and hand back one. OptiAI starts from your real accounts and answers the questions that decide whether a plan works: when saving becomes optional, whether you can cover the years before your money unlocks, and how it holds up across thousands of market paths.
Start from what you already have
Your accounts are already in OptiAI — savings, investments, property, loans, insurance. The plan
reads them directly, converts across currencies, and counts each one exactly once. If the same
asset appears in two plans, it says so and offers to fix it rather than quietly double-counting.
A plan from your real accounts
Not a generic calculator with three boxes. Your savings, investments, property, loans and insurance payouts — each counted once, in its own currency, with anything you have told us to leave out left out.
The point where saving becomes optional
Coast FI: the moment your existing portfolio, left alone, would still reach your target by the age you picked. Keep saving if you want to — but see the date you stop having to.
The years your money is locked away
Retiring before your retirement accounts unlock leaves a gap most tools ignore. OptiAI prices that bridge separately, because covering it can take different moves than funding the whole plan.
Thousands of sampled paths
One average return is a straight line and a straight line is a guess. Run the plan across thousands of market paths and see the spread — the good outcome, the middle, and the one you should plan around.
What a bad decade would do
Stress paths ask the uncomfortable question directly: a poor first two years, higher inflation, delayed income. Better to meet it here than at sixty-two.
A life, not a straight line
Contributions that change, a career break, a house sale, a child’s head start. Plans bend; the projection should bend with them.
The number most tools never show you
Retiring at 55 when your retirement accounts unlock at 60 means five years funded entirely from
money you can reach. A plan can be fully funded overall and still fail in that window. OptiAI
prices those years separately — and when there is a gap, it proposes the specific moves that
close it: retire slightly later, spend slightly less, or redirect contributions to an account you
can actually draw on.
One average return is a guess
A single expected return draws a smooth line to a comfortable number. Real markets do not do
that. OptiAI runs your plan across thousands of sampled paths and shows the spread — so you see
the outcome you would plan around, not just the one you would hope for. It also asks what a bad
first decade, higher inflation, or delayed income would do.
It tells you what it assumed
Where you have not answered something, the plan uses a sensible default and says so — an
account taxed the way its type usually is, future contributions landing in your current mix, a
child's costs from national estimates. Every assumption is named on screen with one tap to change
it. A projection you cannot interrogate is not worth much.
Part of the rest of your life
Retirement is not a separate app. It sits alongside your net worth, your goals, your family
calendar and everything else in OptiAI — so a house sale, a career break or a new child is a
change to one plan, not a spreadsheet you rebuild.
Frequently asked questions
What does OptiAI’s retirement planning actually do?
It builds a projection from the accounts you already track in OptiAI — savings, investments, property, loans, insurance payouts — and answers three questions most tools skip. When does saving become optional (your Coast FI point)? Can you cover the years between retiring and your locked accounts unlocking? And how does the plan hold up across thousands of different market paths rather than one average return?
How is this different from a retirement calculator?
A calculator takes three numbers you type and returns one number. OptiAI starts from your actual accounts, keeps each one counted exactly once, knows which money you cannot touch yet, and tells you what it assumed where you have not answered — so you can correct it instead of trusting a black box. You can still use our free calculators first; this is the version that uses your real balances.
What is Coast FI?
Coast FI is the point at which your existing portfolio, left completely alone with no further retirement contributions, would still compound to your target by your chosen retirement age. It is not "stop saving" advice — it is a milestone that tells you how much of the work is already done, and what your options are if you wanted to earn less, change career or take a break.
Why does it separate the years before my accounts unlock?
If you retire before your retirement accounts are accessible, you have to fund those years from money you can actually reach. A plan that is fully funded overall can still fail in that window. OptiAI prices that bridge on its own, because improving it often takes a different move than improving the plan as a whole.
Does it connect to my bank or broker?
No. OptiAI does not connect to a broker, does not execute anything and does not move money. You keep your accounts where they are; OptiAI works from the balances you record, so the projection is yours to inspect and correct.
Does it work outside the US?
Yes. Every assumption — return, inflation, withdrawal rate, retirement age, access dates — is something you enter rather than a figure we assume from your country, and a plan can hold accounts in more than one currency at once. OptiAI is available in 11 languages.
What if I have not answered everything?
The plan still runs, and it tells you what it assumed — for example that an account gets the tax treatment typical for its type, or that future contributions land in the same mix as your current accounts. Each assumption is named on screen with a way to change it, so nothing is quietly decided for you.
Is this financial advice?
No. OptiAI’s retirement planning is educational. Every figure is conditional on the assumptions you enter, it recommends nothing, and it executes nothing. For decisions about your money, consult a qualified financial professional.
